Worth upgrading my i5?

Few questions about upgrading my i5.

1. Is it worth upgrading my i5 2500k @ 4.6Ghz to either an i7 2600k, 2700k,
Or maybe even an i7 3770k. Will this allow me to have pci express 3.0?

2. Will this work in my Asrock Z67 extreme 4 gen3 with latest bios?

3. Finally will my H60i cooler be up for the task of cooling an overclocked i7?

Only use for gaming no video editing etc. Or should i just put the money towards a r9 290 or gtx 780 if the price drops.

Your processor is fine and as the main use is gaming then the money will be better spent on a new graphics card.

I am doing the same and I am still on Socket 1156 so your have no worries.

yep buy new gpu your cpu will run any single gpu fine !

Thats what i thought.
With the new consoles running 8 cores thought i would just ask the question.

Had the upgrade itch a while and been waiting for the non ref 290s or 780 price to drop. Hopefully this side of xmas but seems like ive been waiting ages.

if you could get a 2700k cheap, i.e. for less than £30.00 after selling your 2500k, then sure.
