Worth upgrading now or wait?

Hi all,

I am currently trying to decide whether to upgrade now or later in the year.

I see the Dead Rising 3 minimum specs and think my AMD 7770 may not cut it.

I only have a 1080P monitor and was thinking of maybe going Radeon R9 270x.
Until I realised it is basically a 7870 (no bad thing) I just cannot decide if it is worth waiting.

Thanks all!

You could wait until the game is released to see how your card performs before spending any money. Alternatively, if it's starting to show its age already, then buy now.

I agree with Arc and get the game and see how it plays. If it is sluggish, maybe there will be a good deal on to help soften the blow.

Thanks for the replies, the only thing that bugs me about it, is its rather loud. Even for basic ish games (pro evo) very loud for Far cry, though my case is not a silent one or anything.

Think I will probably hang on for now!

Good question, it will be set to auto.
I have not really messed with many settings for the gpu/cpu as I figured I would do that once I felt the system was slow.

Probably worth looking into that !

I used to select manual, then one day I started using auto for some reason. This I much prefer, as in my experience there's too much of a diminishing return when using manual.
