Worth upgrading now?

Ok I seriously need a graphics card upgrade, I just got a new PSU (Antec NeoHE550). My 6800 Ultra is no longer cutting it, I want to play Airborne but my card just wont do the business in 800x600 low settings. Is it worth upgrading to an 8800GTX now? I'm only asking because of the new G92 coming out in November. Will the price drop of the 8800 be significant enough to merit a wait of 2 months or should I bite the bullet?

There is supposed to be no high end cards in Nov, the G92 is Mid range, you wont see a card to beat a GTX or Ultra till FEB 2008 (most think).

There is plenty of threads about it and plenty of rumours on WEB, you need to try make your own decision whats BS and whats feasable, Nvidia dont need a new Flagship as nothing touches a GTX or Ultra and Crysis was DEV on a GTX so should run well.

I see, well with this months wages I should be able to touch into the GTX range and it seems as if the GTX will be able to keep me going for a year (maybe two). I'll have a read to see what's going on and I'll make a decision.

Thanks
