As thread title. Have E8400 OC'd. Have ATi 4850. Noticed slowdowns in BFBC2, other than that the card has been great. Im guessing a new card is the better option -is the 4850 is the bottleneck?

Cheers

I run my E8400 @4.2GHz and it still cant keep up.

That was just after exiting BFBC2.

My 5850 runs about 50% (Game on medium settings) so, My CPU is holding me back.

I am looking to go i5 750 next month.

Cheers for that, running mine at same. looks like the beginning of the end of dual core gaming for me. Cant believe I paid less for the E8400 18months ago than what it is worth now!

I can only game at 1280x1024 on my monitor but BFBC2 was jerky as hell on the spec in my sig but I've just popped in a Q9550 which is only at 3GHz at present and the game runs much smoother. I was looking at the CPU useage via the coretemp app on my G15 whilst playing & cores 1-3 were constantly at 75% or above and core 4 was never at anything less than 60%
