Hi All,

I am putting together a rig for work and wondered what would be better, keeping the HSF that comes with the CPU or going for a cheap circa £15 model? And if so any recommendations?

Spec as follows:

i5 - 3570K
Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H
Corsair 16GB Vengence
Radeon 7870
Corsair 650TXV2 Enthusiast

Thanks all.

I will be running a series of test VM's before deploying them to a shiny new SAN, as well as some video compression and general IT admin stuff.

And recommendations with that price range?

Well I can push the budget a bit...and with it being a work box that price doesn't need to include VAT thankfully.

Thanks for the help.

Ok so thought I would keep it going in one thread.

I was planning / have to use an old unbranded case (or get rid of the i5 to cover the cost of a new one) It only has space for one front mounted 92mm fan and one rear 92mm does anyone have suggestions of the best quiet, but still reasonably good cooling in this range?

At the moment it has some weird direction cone thing that goes from the side panel to the cpu for clean air but this will be removed as it will get in the way of a HSF. I am now thinging a CM Hyper 212 Evo unless anyone says otherwise? Would it be worth adding another 92mm fan here also or would this just hurt the cooling of the cpu?

Thanks again all.
