Worth upgrading to 500mbps Powerlines from 200mbps?

depends what they connect?

if its only between a router and a pc with 10mb ADSL then no. if youre streaming loads of stuff between different PC's / tv's / etc then maybe

3 Devices plus interweb.

I would work it out roughly like 3xstreaming HD max 15mb per device plus interweb maxed at 40mb = 85MB (plus overheads will be closer to 100MB)

you kit does 200MB so you will be ok. the only real reason to change woll be the overall ma through put if you are moving large data about. The higher bandwidth stuff though has its own issues as the higher the bandwidth the less tolerant they seem to become.

but in all fairness I would probably not be able to resist buying something that should be better :)

a lot of "200mpbs" kit only have 100mbps ports they seem to think they can add the upload and download speed together to make it sound better.
The 200Mbps is the powerline speed not the wired port speed. The wired speed is 10/100mbps. TP-Link state this product is capable of up to 200mbps in the right situation.

A lot of 500mbps adapters only have 10/100 ports too. Considering your internet speed, it probably isn't worth upgrading IMHO, unless you're moving large files around your own network.
