Worth upgrading to a 980ti?

I currently have the KFA2 HOF 980, I game at 1440p and have a few issues with some games hitting the 4GB VRAM limit (Dying light etc) would it be worth while upgrading?

Thanks

I didn't realise dying light hit a 4gb limit. I'm going to need to test that. Probably worth it in 2 weeks after they drop to £499 (my prediction and worth seeing if they do I guess)

When it first came out I'm sure my card hit 4GB, I've not played it since so patches at that may have made it better.

No, you'd be best waiting for Pascal.

Also, just because your card used 4GB Vram it doesn't mean it hit a limit. It can also mean that it simply used all it's resources. My understanding is that it can only be considered a limit if you are getting adverse effects in game.

For example, my 980 runs at 99% usage in most games but frame rates are well above 60 so it's not a limit. Now, if it was 99% usage at 40fps then I'd consider that a limit.

Had the 980 and the Titan X. The latter is a massive improvement and fits very nicely into 1440p. An aftermarket 980 Ti will be exactly the same.

Wait for the Pascal, or if you can't at least wait few days for the AMD Fury benchmarks, I would anyway, i regret rushing and selling my 980 now.
