Hey guys,

I'm toying with the idea of upgrading to a skylake build but unsure whether it's worth it.

I do fee like my mobo is really dated and I've noticed a few games maxing out my vram at 1080p.

Looking to run division maxed out so wondering if I should upgrade to a 6700k/980ti or sit tight for the next release?

No point. The 3770K is still a solid chip. I would hold out as the 980 is also still solid. I would wait to see what this year brings GPU wise.

Your 3770K should continue to be fine for all but the most CPU limited games for a while yet OP. Overclock it if you haven't already. I'm surprised to hear you're maxing out your VRAM at 1080p though. What games are you playing? You'll net yourself typically about 25-30% more performance by getting a 980ti, but for me that wouldn't be enough of a performance jump to warrant an upgrade.

z77 mobo has very little to lose against skylake (nvme and maybe some performance tweaks)
