Worth upgrading Xeon 1220v3 to i5-4690k for gaming?

Hi all,
I have the 1220v3 in my spare PC and thinking of using it to play games once I put a r9 290 in there. Is it worth upgrading the CPU to a 4690k or non K or should I keep the Xeon in there?
