Worth Upgrading ?

Hi Everyone

I am wondering whether it is worth upgrading my graphics card.

At the moment i have a pair of Xfired X1950's that dont perform too bad but since getting a new monitor they struggle running COD4 @ 1680x1050.

The rest of my system is as follows:

Mobo - DFI RDX200
CPU - AMD Athlon 64X2 4600+
Memory - 2GB Value DDR

Unfortunately i cant afford to do a full mobo CPU upgrade at the moment so is it worth upgrading the graphics card or will the rest of the system restrict it too much.

I have about £150-180 so any reccomendations would be welcome.

At that res, Either crossfired 4830's or a single GTX 260 or HD 4870.

If cod 4 is as important as css used to be for me then upgrade.I guess you could cool some more and overclock before upgrading but I doubt that'll be sufficient. Nice selection of cards you could consider like some mentioned above, perhaps o/c that cpu may well help too.

Yeah, upgrading would have significantly better perform. And starting at the graphics card is great way to go about it.. obv, it will be bottlenecked by your other hardware.. but once you get the money to upgrade everything else it'll be a really gd rig.
I'd probs recommend the 4870 1gb.
