Worth Upgrading?

Hey guys, I'm feeling the upgrade bug, but I think I maybe wasting my time so just looking for clarification on the matter. Back in October I decided to move into mobile gaming and got rid of my desktop for an Alienware laptop. The specs are;

Windows 8
i7 4900MQ
32GB RAM
GTX 780m SLI
160GB SSD
2TB HDD

The situation is not helped by the fact my mate has just built a monster desktop so I'm a bit jealous in all honesty! The laptop cost me just over 2k so in your honest opinion would I be a bit stupid to upgrade already? I'm talking about going back to a desktop btw.

That doesn't need upgrading and you can hook it upto a desktop monitor/keyboard+mouse and use it like decent PC.

Or if you are really green and jealous you could sell it and build a rival beast desktop?

That's what I was thinking, but I have no idea how much value it's lost so not sure what to put it up for.

Price checks are only allowed in the price check section of the members market, I have no idea what something like that is worth either, certainly a fair wedge towards a beast desktop I would imagine.

Well if the laptop doesn't perform how you would like it to then sell up and buy a desktop (within reason, don't expect it to be 5960X and 4 Titan X speed ). However with specs like that, it shouldn't do too badly at all!
