Worth waiting for Core i5?

Depends what you have If your currently on a 775 motherboard then there doesn't seem to be big gain to going to i5 bar future proofing its almost the same performance. (given there positioned below the i7's in terms of performance.)

As for older the other chipsets we will have to w8 and see.
 
well if its not that much more faster than LGA775 than its not got much of a lead over AMDs ethoir as the toper onces are on par with intel
 
first generation i5/i7 LGA1135 will be redundant in 6months after realease. I dont see the point in getting one unless you plan to hold onto your setup for 3 or more years in which time youll likely change everything anyway
