Worthwhile/Good Value downloads for PS3?

I've had a nosy around the Playstation store etc on my PS3, and the games and films I've found thus far are all massively overpriced compared to what can be found on the highstreet. Are there any downloads or sources that represent decent value that can be accessed direct from the console, or is the whole avenue a bit of a damp squib?

Movies & full games will always be overpriced as not to upset the retailers. The smaller indie games are the best value for money as long as there good, i.e. Wipeout, super stardust and many others.....
 
DC online is free!! It did have a sub but they scrapped it. I downloaded it but haven't played it yet but at £0.00 I'd have to say it's good value:p

Also I noticed the other day that Assassins Creed: Brotherhood lets you download the game and play for an hour for free. Not sure if that's any use to you. I imagine other games let you do this but I didn't see any
 
Flower is amazing value! It's been on sale once before, so it may make an appearance in the current 12 days of Christmas offer... But even if it doesn't, worth it for £6.99
 
Going to download DC Universe tonight hope its not lame with the free sub ect seeing as it was p2p and purchase the game earlier on in the year.

Does anyone have the full version of Chime? I played the demo and thought it was pretty cool. Is the full version worth it?
 
rag doll kung fu and tekken are worth a shout, rag doll is only good if a minimum of 3 of you are playing at the same time (its one of the best multiplayer pick up and play games), but it can get boring after 15 mins.

tekken is obvious choice too if you like beat em up's.

but tbh, you would be better off getting a Tablet with android if you want to play little stupid games like plants vs zombies, etc. at least that way you can take it anywhere with you, etc. i prefer to use the console for "proper" gaming.

Have it, not played it much but have enjoyed it, will say I thought the demo had the best music..
 
Picked up child of Eden today for a tenner. Not sure if it's any good yet but reviews would suggest it's worth it.
