Worthwhile upgrade?

Hi.
My current PCs core is as follows:

X2 3800.
2Gb ram.
X800XL.

Would an upgrade to a 7950GT 512Mb be worth the money? The reason i ask is that i dont really play all that many games anymore, so i was thinking of something that'd do well enough to play the current top games, and some of the next gen ones well.
Resolution would be at the moment 1280x1024, and then 1920x1200 when i upgrade my two monitors.

Worth it? Or should i just wait till R600 is out and decide then?

i'd defo wait dx10 will be a new standard and the current cards will look like ti4200's in about 6 months.

At that price you cannot go wrong and that will do you very nicely.

If your not buying a G80 then wait, as no other cards are worth buying.
