Well, ive got £200 savings, took awile, and im looking at upgrading my 8800GT, want to stay with the mean greens Nvidia, so what are my choices?

Your best choice would be a GTX 260 currently going for about £182 or so on OCUK.
If you have an SLi capable board, might be worthwhile to look at another 8800 GT for SLi as they are very cheap right now and the performance boost would be substancial.
Any particular reason you want to stay with the green team?

Crysis and Warhead don't use PhysX as far as I am aware. So don't worry too much about that. FPS performance is paramount, plus ATi cards will have PhysX later on too.

You could get a 260 if you are that keen on staying with Nvidia. The use your 8800 as a PhysX card.

I am waiting on delivery of my new gpu today. I have an BFG OC2 8800GT, but brought an Gainward ATI Radeon HD 4870 "Golden Sample" 512MB yesterday for £204, its gonna blow the 8800 away and the 260 as well ;)

im using a Viewsonic (not a proper gaming one, 2000:1 contrast, 3ms response) and i ONLY use 1680x1050 res, nothing else...

so wait you have 200quid for a card and another 60 quid for a keyboard ?

Put it together you have 260quid thats enough for a nice shiny card.
That or sell your car you cant drive and you have lots more money for nice decent monitor :D

eh, the £200 was actually for shiney bits for the car, my mum has to drive it aswell, and now the £200 is for a GPU, and my keyboard is dyin, so im waitng for the Roccat Valo to come out, and ill get that!

Stay away from GX2 I would say. Go for 260. Why no ATI? Personally your best choice for that res by far is an ATI 4850 in my opinion.

brand loyalty is a dodgy thing to have.... meh not my cash to splash

I definitely agree with that my friend. I used to be an ATI fanboy as I was very happy with my Radeon 9700. Even before that I had 2 ATI cards. But then NV started making cards that were much better price for performance for a good while, so I just switched over and got an 7900GT, then a 8800 GTS and now I am back to ATI with a 4870 and I am very happy.

I am loyal to price for performance :)
