Would 2X4850 be better than a single 4890?

Would 2X4850's in Crossfire be better than a single 4890?

I just play l4d and and CS:S and cod6 when it comes out, so nothing to demanding. I play on a 22" HDTV using a HDMI cable running at 1680 X 1050

Worth it ?

tbh I think you're better off investing in newer rather than older.

Your 4850s will be out of date sooner than you think

2 4850s will be quite a bit faster than the 4890 but the memory on the 4850s migt become a bit of a bottleneck in newer games

Yes, they will be faster..by a good margin as well.

However at your resolution I would just grab a 4890 and call it a day. Avoid dual-gpu solutions when you can, IMO.
