Would a 5770 be a worthwhile upgrade from a GeForce 8800GTS?

Yes, will wallop the GTS, its 4870 performance.
Hmm...interesting.
I'm torn now. I could probably get 'domestic clearance' for one of these now, and another in the new year. This could be a nice upgrade, but might limit my options.
Alternatively, I could wait for a 5850. Availability is close to zero, and I'm not sure I could convince the 'Boss' to let me part with £240 right now.
My 8800 is showing its age, and I'm impatient.
I just wonder if I'd regret it in the long term. Mind you, I only game @ 1680x1050.
