Would a 5850 be worth it on this spec ?

Was thinking of bying a 5850 because it seams there the best card for value at the moment , but im wondering what the performance would be like with my current system
Think its pci express 1.1

I have a e6300 clocked @ 3.0 ghz
Asus p5wdh deluxe
4gb ddr2 geil


I have the option of a cheap cpu upgraded through my brother to a q6600 .
Im thinking of crossfiring sometime with the 2 gpu,s maybe so would it just be better to not buy a cpu on socket 775 again and make a whole new system .

Im sure my pci express slots are 1.1 so would i take much of a hit with crossfiring two up with a q6600 ?

no your good to go you may loose 10% MAX with pcie1.1 but oncard features like aa etc will be as strong as ever

Thats not bad at all i expected a bigger drop to be honest

upgrade to the quad if i were you aswell

Will be buying the whole pc so i will take the quad core out of that and dropping it in this , so i will go ahead and upgrade just the cpu gpu to save on a bit of cash .
Hopefully wont need to upgrade till end of 2010 - 2011 .
