Would a bluetooth dongle for a laptop?

Yesh

Although you may need to install the software thaty comes with the dongle

I couldnt send from phone > PC before i installed the software

you could sent it without additional software if you have SP2 installed. I do it with my Desktop all the time.

Ive got sp2 installed and it still wouldnt let me send from phone > PC

You need somewhere for the file to be sent to and saved on the PC
the software obviously creates a folder for your "incoming" files

I couldnt suss out how to do it without the dongle SW
