So I need to use a mic with my laptop which seems to only have one audio port which I can plug in my mic and it will work fine, but obviously I will am using the laptop speakers to hear results.

So if I got my hands on a splitter or adapter would I be able to use my mic and a headset at the same time? I know you can split audio, but normally Mic have their only separate input and I’ve never tried to use both.

Thanks for replies.

The jack is a headphone jack as it’s a laptop and it does have the options for mic in, headphones, headset and maybe a 4th option and I have never tried to use a mic separate to a headset at the same time because normally it’s on a computer with all the correct ports, so with that I wouldn’t want to waste money on the wrong thing.

So I will check out the solutions suggested, I’ve not clicked, so I don’t know prices, but I am just looking for the cheapest simplest option to allow me to use a headset when I require as I use my laptop for collage, but only the mic work at home as it has all my collage work on it rather than pc.
