Would flashing my 290 with a 290x help with black screen's?

I remember a while back when this where first released gibbo flashed one with asus driver to help the memory clocks, ATM if I overclock the ram at all I get black screens.

Any thoughts people ?
 
No. I'm using a OcUK pre-flashed to 290x card, and black screen can still occur when overclocking. It's a separate issue which flashing your 290 to 290x BIOS won't cure.

I still think the issue is lied with not enough voltage being provided to the memory.
