Don't know about driver skill differences, but it's funny to watch a WRX storm away from a 1.6 MX5 in a straightline, only to have the MX crawl all over it in the corners. I would say "so much for 4wd", but then I'll probably get the second obligatory Impreza statement of "wait till it rains".
