Thinking of upgrading sometime soon, would I actually benefit from doing so?

Thinking about:
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 2.40Ghz
Asus Striker Mobo
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5

Using my other stuff aswell for now, then probably get new GFX. I mean the games i play are all running at 1920x1200, I see dips in the games sometimes as low as 12fps City of Villians this is. Would i see a vast improvement for getting the above, over what I have below, or is the Key a 8800GTX OC ;)

Becareful with the striker mobo. Some CPU cooler is not compatible with the mobo as it will hit the heatsink that comes with the mobo.

£750 of improvement!? ;) I have a tuniq Tower 120mm, looking at the layout of the board it should go. As I have the A8N32-Sli deluxe, the tuniq fits but the small fan for the heatpipe has to go on the **** to fit.

To be honest here, if you want to get improvement in games, go for 8800GTX. Your cpu etc are good enough for now.

And sell your 7900s, you still have an upgrade path to SLI, the cpu and RAM will do 3.2ghz+ no problem and you get a faster graohics card straight away. Or just keep your 7900s (what I would do). Saves £200 and gets you the same performance, maybe 1-2% slower when overclocked on air. If not overclocked then about 10% slower.
