I have 2 6800 GS in Sli and i noticed that with the latest drivers from nVidia i get 60 FPS in css with nothing on all settings low eh?

so would i get better performance from older drivers say from the middle of 2006??

Probably, mine ( a single 6800gs) works fine with very high fps probably ( as i notice tearing, don't have vsync/frame limit enabled) ) on 1280x1024 + maxed settings +16x AF and 4X AA
84.xx drivers.

As snowdog said, the 84.xx driver series was very good with my old 6800gt but your mileage may vary. The best thing to do is to take a few different driver sets for a test drive on your PC.

If you only play older games it might be worth it, but if you play new games too your almost deffinatly going to run into compatiblity issues with older drivers...

SLI with the 6800 cards has never seemed to have worked as well as it does with the 7 and 8 series, play with the settings a bit tho as you'll prolly find theres a "magic" combination where it will work properly.
