Would i notice much difference?

Hi, i am going to upgrade my aging rig (6600 @3.0) and was looking at these two bundles: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-012-OB and http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-042-OE

This decision is purely gaming based. What i would like to know would i notice much difference between the two in real world gaming?

(or should i be looking at something else?) I have a 4890 atm and will upgrade at a later stage. Thanks...

Do you have a Q6600 or an E6600?
The i5 750 is just about as good as it get for gaming at the moment, yes the i7 is slightly faster, but not by much in gaming applications.

I went E6600 > Q6700 > E8500 > i5 750

The i5 is without doubt faster and better in all respects.
The Gigabyte board is a great choice too, I don't think you will be dissapointed with i5 750

Thanks Skoda, its the E6600, so in regards to your upgrades i should see good gains. Cheers...
