Would I see a significant performance gain?

Hi There,

First you need to remove the competitor link (OcUK sell computer bits and harsh to advertise other sites here).

What is the rest of your system including monitor/PSU/CPU/Mobo :)

Removed :P

My monitor is Snycmaster S24B750,
PSU I think is Hiper 625w (may need upgraded)
CPU is i5-2500k @3.30ghz
Mobo MSI P67A-G45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Thanks

I would advise against SLI-ing 1GB cards of anything
1GB can be a severe limitation on what settings you can run and you end up not getting the full benefit of 2 GPU's

you would be better off with a 670 for not much more, even if second hand

I am not great on PSU's, so others would be better for that part. As for that GPU, it isn't any faster than the 560 you currently have. If you have an itch to upgrade, maybe add a little more and go for either of these.

Here is a 560 Vs a 7850

Here is a 560 Vs a 660

Take those graphs as a rough estimate and the 660/7850 are roughly equal in performance with one winning one game and another winning another blah blah blah...

Both good cards.

Also, get your CPU overclocked...It is rude not to :)

+1 ^^^ Though Anand have not updated that for a long time, many things have changed since then.

To compare the 7850 to the GTX 660 this is much closer to how things stand today.

Also, the 7850 is very under clocked to give the 7870 a performance advantage on paper (860Mhz vs 1000Mhz) that makes them look slower than they actually are, the reality is the 7850 and 7870 are virtually the same GPU, they overclock to the same levels and there is very little difference between them clock for clock, about 5%.

Both the GTX 660 and 7850 are as good as eachother, the 7850 also comes with a bunch of free games http://sites.amd.com/us/promo/never-settle/Pages/nsreloaded.aspx#2 while the GTX 660 comes MM game vouchers (see OCUK banners)
