Would import games work more or less perfect on my PAL 360?

Just wondering guys - say if I had an import copy of COD4, would it be playable online on my 360? Also, would achievements and stuff work?

Also, im guessing not, but if I ordered a chinese copy for example , would it be in english? What Im saying is, do most/all games, wherever you get them come with english ingame voice, ingame writing etc. Basically a copy of a pal game really.

Sorry for asking thick questions :)

Cheers

check out google, or go to certain Import websites and they usually have a table/chart letting you know what games a region free and what language you can play them in.

Ok thanks, but would imports let me play online?

For example, COD4 (US version) is region free. Now, I know region free means that it can be played on any xbox, but does it mean I can still play it online?

Also, if a game is region free (stupid question imminent, actually, not too stupid lol) does it mean it has the english language on it?

Cheers :D

If it works, it works fully for online and all that. I haven't heard of any region splitting for online games.. the fact that we have to put up with 12 year old American kids screaming at us on live a lot proves it too :p

I'm guessing you've been checking out asian 360 titles due to the wallet friendly prices they tend to have. If you're looking where I think you are, they'll specify if it has English or if it's region free.

It says no region protection, US.

If I could just get some confirmation of someone that does get import games and can play online ok, that would be brill :)

And yes, the prices are definitly more wallet friendly :D

If it has no region protection it will work on PAL and 9 times out of 10 the manual and box will be in English, I have had 10+ region free games on my 360

Xbox Live is intergrated worldwide so yes it will be fine. I've played with people from OCUK in various games online that they had imported.
