Would it be worth spending the extra?

Im selling my laptop to pay off a few bills as I only really use it for internet browsing and a few games every now and then.
Now I want to get a pc next month when Ive paid everything off.

I could easily get one for £400 but im woundering if its worth spending a little bit extra to get a better one that will last me a few more years???

depends what sort of gaming you use it for, if u list a few of the current games you're playing might help.

Mostly games like C&C and some older games.
This new rig is going to last me a few years and I have just seen a pc for £800
With a quad processor 22" moniter 4gb ram ect and I know that will last me a long time. Oh and the graphics is ati 2600 if thats any good

would expect better than a 2600 for £800.
