Hi, i would like to go back to sli again, but dont know if to change the cpu/mb/mem or get a 790i (was looking at evga 132-yw-e180-a1) and ddr3 memory.
Any input would be great,
Thanks in-advance..

So youre wondering if you should get an SLi board or are you saying you have an SLi board with one card but dont know whether you should go for a full upgrade?

Orrrrrrrrrrrrr.... :D

No i dont have an sli board, have an x48 see sig,, i would like to go back to sli, i just prefer Nvidia (i think!!)

but why dont you just buy a sli board which supports DDR2 RAM?

The 790i is the only decent SLi board iirc; the others are quite poor performers.

Personally I'd just go for an i7 setup; a 790 board and 4GB of DDR3 is going to cost you in the region of £200-250 and you'll be stuck with old tech.

I gotta agree with the guys who say i7. The 790i will cost you £280. This i7 mobo does SLI and only costs £160. Take the difference between the two, add £100 for this and you have a super setup.
