Hi,

I've just bought the below case (Zalman Z9)...

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-ZA&groupid=2362&catid=736

... And it has the space for 7 fans (4 came with it and I've bought another 3), it also has a fan controller BUT can only control 2 fans.
The fan spaces are...
1 at the front (in?)
1 at the bottom. (in?)
2 at the side. (in?)
2 at the top. (Out?)
1 at the back. (Out?)

The help needed is how best is it setup (I've put in brackets above what I presume it would be) & which two would be best to connect to the easily accessible fan controller on the front?

Hope you don't mind me jumping in on your post but I'm making some case fan changes to

200 mm front in
200 mm side in
2 x 120 mm rear in
2 x 200 mm top out

Will this work ???

No, feel free to jump in!

I think the only fan size changes I can make are the front & top fans from 120mm to 140mm, which is ashame.

I was wondering if its possible to install a fan in the empty drive bays? Looking inside the case it looks like it would be a good addition if its possible to do?

If you have a gpu that doesn't use a blower cooler you may benefit from using the side fan as exhaust.

Try to have more filtered air coming in than air going out.

OP

I have the same case, the fans supplied are not that good, well I dont think so, (quite, but low airflow), so I plan to change mine.

My set up is
front in (filter it) x 1
Side in (no filter due to lots of holes in grill)
Bottom in (filter it) x 1
top out x 1
back out (push pull H60)(as from tonight)
