Hey folks, i bought a 360 at the weekend and i also have a years subscription to live gold. However, my xbox isn't connected to the net yet. Ideally i would like to have an ethernet switch and have the xbox and my pc share my wireless bridge. I can't afford that at the moment but my pc has 2 ethernet ports. Is it possible to plug my xbox into the spare ethernet port on my pc and connect to the net through that?
I'm running win xp home incase that would make a difference.

Yup, plug the 360 into the spare one, then go to Network Connections, right click on the connection with the internet, go to Sharing, and check the box that says share this connection with other network cards (Or something to that effect).

You dont want to do just sharing, what you need is to bridge both network cards.
select them both and then right click, do bridge. da daa

I have mine bridged - had to force the ip address (in tcp/ip settings for the connection) on the bridge though because of dhcp issues, the xbox couldn't get an ip for some reason.
