One thing is stopping me. Well, it's three things really but they're all related to the same item: tab handling.

I like tabs, I generally run Chrome with around twenty tabs open.

Safari can cope with this but it won't show them all at once, it has that silly menu on the right side.

Is there any extension to Safari that will modify the way it handles tabs?

Also, I like the fact that in Chrome (and FireFox), the favicon is shown in the tab. Can Safari do that as well?

Finally, when I close Safari and reopen it, my previous tabs don't seem to be reloaded automatically. Is there any way I can force that to happen?

If I can resolve these these issues I think I'm likely to be moving to Safari from Chrome.

With regards to the last point about re opening tabs when you close Safari, you can definitely do that in Lion (and I'm sure Mountain Lion as well). I'm not sure how you set it up or if it depends on how you close safari.

Edit: Quickly googling it... you can click on History > Reopen tabs from last session, but I'm sure there is an automatic way

The only way I know of making Safari automatically reopen the previous browsing session is to go to Settings - General - and untick "Close windows when quitting an application". Your other points should be taken care of by Glims but I've learnt to live with them.
