So guys, been out of the loop for like 7 years since built new pc, if i bought the i7 6700K and only 2400mz ddr 4 ram, does that hinder me in anyway if i wanted to overclock the cpu, i mean, if i bought the 3200mz ddr4 would cpu overclock any higher ? or if cpu was capable of like 4.8ghz on 3200 ram, it could still reach that on 2400 ram, thx
Would my cpu still overclock the same if.......

Faster ram puts more stress on the memory controller so could actually mean a lower overclock, not higher
Ah, thats interesting, i may just get cheap the cheaper 2400 ram, but my cpu can still be clocked to like 4.5 even with the lower speed ram, i mean, the cpu overclock wont be held back because the ram wont go higher, its been like 10 years since i overclocked, maybe things have changed.
