Okay I sent my friend down to the ocuk store earlier today to get me a graphics card and he's come back with wrong model. I wanted the R9 380X and he's come back with the R7 370 :S

I wanted the 380x specifically because it has double the stream processors. So I get back from work and he's installed the card into the PC and I've booted it. Installed drivers etc and kicked up GPUZ to see the title R7 370X :( would I be be able to bring it back with the receipt and swap it for the 380x?

Thanks for any help

You can take it back no problems but you won't be able to swap it. I took a card back last week which I bought a week prior and I just had to wait for the funds to be refunded to my bank (paid on card). But obviously if you have the money you can purchase the other card in store. As long as it's within 30 days, everything is included with the card as it was sold and there's no damage to the card then there shouldn't be a problem.

Is this a fault of your mate, what does it say on the receipt?

Thanks for the replies.

Is it just me who's wondering why ocuk are pricing the R7 370 strix at the SAME 149.99 price point as TWO other cards, the R9 380 and 380X when the latter have DOUBLE the stream processors???? Why would any sane person choose this card! Me and my friend need words.

And 1050MHZ Core clock is not justifiable as to why it's 150 quid.

ASUS tax. Why anyone buys ASUS graphics cards is beyond me...

Also I wouldn't buy a 380X for £150, not when new AMD cards are so very very very close.

EDIT: Read some stuff about the RX470 and it looks like it'll fit your needs.
