Would the heatsink fins close by themselves?

Ok I have broke a tiny fin support on my heatsink, I would like to know if the heatsink fins would close by themselves? Under normal operating conditions?

Isnt this the PS3 heatsink?

Anyway, it wont bend unless Sony/ manufacturer of the PS3 heatsink used very cheap metal that will bend under heat.

Yes it is but it is the later ps3 65nm chip heatsink. The heatsink is aluminium that shouldn't bend under heat should it?

Dude stop worrying haha. It's a heatsink, it's designed to transfer heat from the CPU into the fins. It will be fine.
