hi guys i have ordered 4gb ram the xms3 one i only have a 500w psu in the future would it be ok to upgrade to 8gb? i do a lot of video editing and gaming so im thinking 4gb wont be enough.

A stick of DDR3 RAM consumes around 5W so you'll be fine.

Absolutely fine - memory draws a relatively small amount of power compared to other components.

Adding 2 further sticks should not compromise your system unless you were already drawing the very limit of your PSU’s supply – which is unlikely.

However, if your CPU is clocked, for stability sake, you may want to consider revising your order and getting the 8Gb set now at £71 – funds permitting.
