If you had a hard drive would it be possible to get downloadable content from live eg for pgr 3 new cars and tracks if Microsoft was to implement it.

Id like to see downloadable content like new missions etc but i would have thought it would take up abit of space. ?

Cool i never had old xbox i had ps2 so all new to me be good to see some more content soon as you complete games they just get boring to me.

PD0 is getting new multiplayer maps... I thnk that's along the lines you are thinking about

In earlier games, I doubt they'll do much for adding content.

It will all depend on the game maker, and how easy they make their game patchable and adaptable. As Live has been settled for some time now, and it's fully integrated with the 360, you'll likely see more games taking advantage of downloading new stuff.

Ridge Racer has new cars ('machines') and audio tracks.
Kameo has new skins / models.
Full Auto alludes to extras coming in the manual (iirc).
Outpost Kolaki has extra scenarios.

All sorts coming out really :)

They did it twice for PGR2, (Paris & Long Beach packs) so I don't see why they wouldn't consider it for PGR3 as well

With the quailty of the PGR3 levels I bet any new map would be a fairly large download, Would be awesome tho. Hopefully it will be somewhere awesome, like Slough.

They added a 1.2gb demo, so adding city wouldn't be a problem :).

if i remember PGR2 actually had some of the files for the downloadable content already on the disk.
I know full spectrum warrior it was an unlocking of extra content instead of downloading aswell

I'd love to see extra content for this great game, but TBH, I'd rather they fixed my wish-list first:

- Proper scaling/letterboxing on resolutions above 1024x768
- Change the colour of the "cones" from yellow to red or any more visible colour
- Indicator of who is speaking on Live! They had it in PGR2 - why remove this feature?
- Speed up texture loading - in NYC in particular, I keep seeing 'basic' textures which are then overlaid with the detailed ones

Other things that would be nice:
- Optimise code so that loading is faster ("Entering garage..." -make the list of cars the default view, and give the option to look at them if wanted)
- As above, when I restart a single player race, why does it take 15 seconds - surely it has already been loaded into RAM, so restarting should be the work of an instant

Ohhhhhhhhh and there is already extra content for games. RR6 has unlockable cars on live :D and also downloadable music

and on the box of PGR3 it does say content download :D

Just found out on the backwards compatible Jade Empire, if you have the normal edition, it will download the extra content that's in the special edition (new character).
