Would this be suitable?

its a 6300 @ 3ghz at the mo and 2gb ram.

Looking to go watercooled so will be changing the Ram to get more out of the chip.

Will there be a massive difference between the 4830 & 4670 in terms of performance?
 
Yes there's a massive difference. If the 4830 is too dear then grab the 9800GT, but the 4830 really is better.

ALthough for 100 you might be able to find a used 4850 if you look around.
 
Just wanted to know if there was much difference when spending £60 to that of £100, 4830 could well be the card of choice then!

This will cope with the mentioned games ok at higher res then?
 
Well Left4Dead and TF2 are both pretty dated games which will run on almost anything recent.

No idea on the BF3 engine, but I can tell you the 4830 will play it well unless the engine is really, really crappy
