Howzit guys.

I'm wanting to do a small upgrade, yet not to sure if it's worth it. Won't cost me too much to do either.

My Current specs are:

Windows Vista Ultimate 32Bit and 2GB DDR2 memory. Also have a 8800GTS 320mb.

At the moment everything runs fine, however would upgrading to Windows Vista 64Bit and 4GB od ram really do much?

I do play games, video conversion ect. But not too sure I'll see much of a difference?

Thanks all.

This is it, I can get the ram cheap. Question still remains though, will I see much of a difference?

Thanks, bledd.

You will on games/video conversions. The more memory you have on a Vista system the more the system has allocated to applications e.t.c. If you notice Vista thrives on ram.

the jump is comparible to going from 1gb to 2gb on xp

it's not something you really need, but once you've done it, you won't go back

vista should be 4gb reccomended specs imo (for performance systems)

going from 2gb to 4gb on my 32bit vista machine (mainly used for media centre) has shown a marked improvement -even though it doeesn't use the full 4gb because it's 32bit

i would switch to 64, but my tv card isn't supported, and it's not worth it for what that pc does
