Would this graphics card work and fit in my PC?

Asus 1GB Radeon HD 6850 DirectCU PCI-E 2

My mobo is asus p8z77-m, Intel i7 2700k, 16gb ram. with a CiT Vantage case

I have a GeForce GTX 560 SE in the pc now, So is this Radeon HD 6850 graphics card a upgrade for me? The card I have does play all games in high settings, but I do get frame-rate drop a lot in FPS on the one I have. Was looking to upgrade.

That's no point at all swapping your GTX560 for a 6850. They're almost identical in terms of performance. If anything it would be a backwards step.

Another 560.. (SLI) or save up a bit more and go for a 7850.

i dont think that board supports sli? only crossfire x,it doesnt mention sli on the website

My fault. I was looking at the Pro version of your board which does support SLI.

In that case I'd look for a second hand 7850. Any new card you can buy for £130 isn't going to show any noticeable improvement over what you've already got.

7850 is a great card if you can find a good deal,low power draw and temps,msi and gigabyte have 3year warranty,other brands have two year

The 7850 is hard to find cheap. Is there other places to go other then ebay for graphic cards used?

The members market on here but unfortunately you won't get access for quite a while.

eBay seems to be full of overpriced PC components.

yeah ebay is way overpriced for PC stuff.

I think it's 1000 posts now to gain entry which might sound a long way off but it's worth sticking around so you'll get access one day.

Prices in there are much more realistic than eBay.
