Hi,

Been looking around at laptops... and found this... gets decent reviews, good spec and reasonable price (< 800 nicker).

But will it play games??? I'm not expecting it to play BF2 at full res or anything, but it would be nice to be able to handle some games occasionally.

Spec as follows... gfx at bottom.

Intel® Pentium® M Processor 750 1.86GHz, 533MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache
Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition (SP2)
15.4" widescreen Ultrabright™ XGA TFT display
1024MB dual-channel DDR2 memory
80GB hard drive
8x multiformat DVD±RW dual-layer drive
ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X600 SE 128MB Hypermemory™ (64MB dedicated)

Cheers.

i would say it would struggle big time with that gpu. its a cutdown x600 so its not even as good as a normal x600. and only 64mb... 128mb is minimum today.

rest of the spec would be fine i think...

It'd be ok I've used much lower spec laptops for gaming!

A word of warning though if your having a gaming session get yourself a laptop cooler as the little blighter will get rather toasty.

I used to play at 1024x768 on a Dell Inspiron 6000 which had a 128mb x300 gfx card (CoD2, BF2 etc) but medium settings and obviously no AA or AF. You'd get above 30fps.
