Would this PC be able to game?

This is a system my brother is insisting on buying. Will it be able to play games for the kids?
they like games like the sims etc...

That graphics card will be a horrible bottleneck and won't cope with anything demanding, but then, I expect you already know that.

Yeah I do know its rubbish just wasnt sure how rubbish. If he's adamant on getting a full pc and only spending £500 I suspect thats about as good as he's gonna get.

wouldnt even touch that ngraphics card for gaming. sims2 is suprisingly demanding on graphics

£40 over budget but i think that includes everything and your getting a much better clockable cpu and a 7300gt so would be loads better than that 6200. Sure you could cut it back a little bit more if needed.

Taking dale1uk's specification as a starting point this reduces the cost a little further and should still provide a better graphics card(although B Grade all drivers etc will be available for download). The 6200le is a terrible card, hypermemory and all.
