Would this play blue ray

I would not recommend Nero suite as it's very bloated and I don't like the way the decoders it installs as some of them take over your primary video/audio decoders.

PowerDVD9 supports BluRay just fine as long as your screen is connected via DVI/HDMI and HDCP is supported.

Hi, thanks for the reply. i have a hanns 28" using a nvidia 275.
what's HDCP ? doe's this screen and card support this then ?

Cheers.

Hmm their site is a little misleading as the main PowerDVD9 page says
"The Best Blu-ray/DVD Player Software Today

World-renowned PowerDVD 9 delivers outstanding Blu-ray and DVD movie playback quality on your PC. "

It should say PowerDVD 9 Ultra - but it would be weird for them to NOT support BluRay in all versions maybe they list it just to try to get you to buy the Ultra?

HDCP should be supported on your screen so no issues there. It's HD content protection (DRM)

Most people run anydvdhd alongside Powerdvd Ultra or TMT (both of these are players)

Anydvdhd removes the need for HDCP, and generally stops incompatibility issues
