a family member has a really old pc thats in need of major upgrade

its an intel quad Q8200 cpu with 4 gb of ddr2 and a 512mb GPU yes its old lol
its ok for looking on the web but not much use for anything else

would this lot work for gaming on a real small budget less than £250? .. the gpu would be a 1050ti which already have as well as a case and power supply 600w

yes some of the items are out of stock at the moment would this play anything game wise? such as PUBG or the like ?

or what would be a better choice if just updating the motherboard cpu and ddr?

to answer your original question, yes. It should work ok, not amazing but functional.

this is with an OC'd q6600 and 8gb of ram but should give you an idea of how it would perform.

what computer is it and some upgrades might not work if its branded.?

get on gumtree loads of systems, my system in sig cost me £110 in total as i got lucky with the psu being brand new never opened and costing me £35 otherwise it wouldve just been £75 for the rest of the system then bit more than that just for the power supply, basically i built a q9300 system other week at a cost of £91 then found the standard veriton for £35 and swapped in my psu and gpu, so if you have anything to forward over it will be worth while.

on a plus unless you unlucky like me with my 775 board only supporting 4gb ram then upgrade to max ram and depending what your power supply is find a really good graphics card, i wouldnt change to an APU like you listed for us, but hell, you can buy custom gaming systems even with an FX 4300 or 6300 with decent other specs for £250 or less.

edit: just read your opening better, if you already got a good graphics card and psu then just put those in and just spend money on ram if its upgradable then buy an SSD with the money you will have
