friend wants a cheap spec pc knocking up.I have made a list of bits but want to check if its ok first.Budget is only £450.O CZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision -Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 500GB SATA-II -Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 -OcUK GeForce 8600 GT 512MB -Asus P5N-E SLi nForce 650 -Corsair TX 650W ATX2.2 SLi -Thermaltake VA3000BNA Tsunami Dream SuperMidi Aluminium Tower . I have a rewriter and a freezer 7 pro for the cpu.Is there anything i should change or anything i have missed out before i order it.If u could check i would be gratefull .thx
 
Look's ok to me except one thing.....get a samsung spinpoint h/d...there a lot better h/d's.
but dont listen to me as im just a noob when it come's to pc's.
There are lot's of pc freeks on here that will give you some really good advice.

Does this look a better spec than the one above.Should be ok with this budget.Once again if anything needs changing could u let me know.will be getting it monday.thx
 
Whats he going to be using it for? Is he going to overclock?

Its a decent spec for the money i was just wondering if he might be better off going for a slightly cheaper mobo and better graphics? 3850pro for example for £58 would be a lot better for gaming (well if Ocuk had stock atm it would be) assuming its going to be used for gaming. Like i said an idea of what it will be used for would be helpful for recommending a spec.
 
wont be overclocking really.using it mainly for movies,converting and music and surfing on net.gaming is last on the list
