Evening!
I'm looking to get my pc connected to the internet via our wireless modem router which is situated in another room to my pc.
I have used a wireless network card but the signal strength is really poor so I'm really looking for something with a bit more oomph.
My question is this:
Could I use a wireless access point and plug that into the ethernet port on my pc, so that i could have the access point placed closer to the router and thus get better signal. Or does the access point need to be plugged into the router?
Is there anything else I would need??
P.S: Wiring straight to modem/router is not an option
Thanks in advance
