I've got a server which is causing me some grief, as it was built in yesteryear when a 4Gb C: was ample, and the C: is full and even basic logging is causing apps to fall over because the C: is out of space.

If I, create a new VM with the right disk partitioning that I want, do a restore over it, would that work? I'm pretty sure it would, but yeah but always good to have some other opinions.

Tried resizing partitions, doesn't like it one bit. I even had the weirdest thing happen, I resized, and the partition size changed, but file system didn't recgonise the new space.

It's already a VM, it's Windows 2000, which is were a lot of my issues are coming from, and I originally used gparted.

Sorted, did a winPE boot disk and used a newer version of diskpart off the system, so the partition wasn't in use. I now have an amazing 4Gb extra on that disk! Yay.
