i know its an old system so i want to put a graphics card in it to lighten the load i am thinking of a MSI GeForce GT 440 Twin Frozr 1024MB.

will it work any better than my current x800 ?

I have a similar setup to you.

I put a 4650 1Gb in to mine about 2 years ago.

I wouldnt spend more than £40 however as its not worth it.

If its not for gaming then any 1Gb card from here would be good.

Well the only games i play on it are eve-online and counter strike source occasionally, i have fallout vegas installed too and my x800 runs that on low settings so hopefully the new card will give it a boost.

i went for a nvidia card this time because eve is going to be utilising physx
