So I was just having a mess around and came up with this

For some reason, it feels like it shouldn't work but I can't see why it wouldnt. Anandtech puts the 580's draw at around 500W under Furmark so the PSU should be more than adequate.

As a PURE gaming build, would anything bottleneck the GPU here?

well it WOULD work, but your putting one of the best gpu's with a pretty mediocre cpu - better to balance things out i think

It will work, but if you can get a i5 2300/2400 and a H67 motherboard in there, then better.

I lied, some things I thought were on TWO weren't pushing the price up a bit :(

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus GeForce GTX 580 DirectCU II 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £359.99
1 x Intel Core i5-2300 2.80GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £139.99
1 x Gigabyte H67M-UD2H-B3 Intel H67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION ** £84.98
1 x Antec High Current Gamer 620W Power Supply £49.99
1 x Antec 100 One Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £43.99
1 x Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103UJ) £34.99
1 x Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) £33.59
1 x OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £14.99
Total : £779.02 (includes shipping : £13.75).

Could save £5 by getting the 500GB HDD.
There are cheaper H67 chipsets, but none are in stock at OcUK and haven't been for, well, months.
