Hey guys, all my equipment is currently sat in the spare room but my router is in the living room next to the master socket, so everything is connected via wireless. I want to move the router so everything is in one place. Unfortunately, there is no way of moving the master socket or running an extension cable round the flat.

So, could I use one of these, plug it into a powerline adapter and then use another powerline adapter in the spare room with another one of those cables and then into the router?

I'm willing to be corrected but I don't think what you're suggesting is going to work.

What you're talking about is trying to use homeplugs to carry the ADSL signal from the master socket to the router. The homeplug is expecting an ethernet signal, not an ADSL one - they're entirely different.

Yep, the RJ11 will physically fit, but it won't work.

Leave the router where it is. Install a switch and/or access point in the spare room. Connect them together with Powerline adapters.
